Some exciting news this week (well for me anyway), I finally took the plunge and added a smaller portable hex to compliment the larger machine I already have, the new machine is a Yuneec Typhoon H which some of you will have no doubt heard of but for those of you who haven't this is what it looks like
Its basically an all in one system that has an uninterrupted 360 degree controllable gimble that boasts a continuous rotation capability, as the legs are retractable the view is never spoilt by the landing gear etc.
the controller has a built in 7 inch tablet and all the telemetry is transmitted directly to it. The camera is able to capture footage from 1080p 24fps through to 4k 30fps and can even shoot 1080p at 120fps for some amazing slomo shots.
The machine itself boasts a whole host of functions from point of interest to orbit me, auto land return to home, follow me, and a whole host more that i need to get used to.
Hopefully this will prove beneficial in the coming months especially for some of the smaller jobs or where the site is a little way from main roads or has no vehicle access. I will be reviewing the machine in full once i've had a chance to get to grips with it. so keep an eye out for that
